Armenian weightlifter, silver medalist at the Montreal 1976 Olympic Games in the 75 kg class. Born in Gyumri, he took up weightlifting in 1964.
In addition to his Olympic medal, in 1976 Militosyan also won the European Championship gold and World Championship silver. He repeated as European Champion in 1978, becoming one of the most successful Soviet-Armenian lifters of his era.
