The 2011 European Championships were held in Kazan, Russia on 11–17 April. Arayik Mirzoyan took silver in the men's 77 kg class with a 347 kg total, losing to Turkey's Yağcı on bodyweight tiebreaker (identical totals). Mirzoyan also won snatch gold with 160 kg. Smbat Margaryan (56 kg) and Edgar Gevorgyan (85 kg) collected bronze in individual lifts.
