The contest came down to the wire: Romania's Luis Lauret finished just 1 kg behind on 414 kg, with Bulgaria's Hristo Hristov taking bronze on 412 kg.
This is Karapetyan's third European title after his 2023 and 2025 victories, cementing his status as one of the leaders of world heavyweight weightlifting.
