On April 24, 2026, in Batumi, 19-year-old Emma Poghosyan claimed European Championship gold in the women's 86 kg class with a perfect six-for-six performance.
She lifted 102, 105 and 107 kg in the snatch (small bronze) and 132, 134 and 141 kg in the clean & jerk (small gold). Her 248 kg total set a new European youth record.
Armenia's Liana Gyurdzhyan finished fifth in the same category with 236 kg.
