Armenia produced one of its most successful Olympic campaigns: silver for Tigran V. Martirosyan in the men's 85 kg class with 380 kg, and bronze for Gevorg Davtyan in the 77 kg class with 360 kg.
Tigran G. Martirosyan originally placed 4th in the 69 kg class but was later disqualified in 2016 following IOC sample retests.
